The Narrative
Gap Report

Prepared for Root & Rise Wellness Studio — a one-week diagnostic reading of brand coherence across Strategy, Storytelling, Messaging, Design, and Social.

What Is This?

Tier 1 · The Narrative Gap Report

The Narrative Gap Report is StoryForm's one-week brand diagnostic. I read a client's website, social channels, advertising footprint, and internal data as a single object — held against one question: does this brand sound like one cohesive conversation, or several voices talking past each other?

I evaluate five disciplines — Strategy, Storytelling, Messaging, Design, and Social — scoring each gap by severity and estimating the annual revenue at risk. The result is a prioritized, plain-language brief the client can act on immediately, or hand off to my Tier 2 Intensive team.

The Headline Finding

Root & Rise is a coherent, warm, well-crafted brand. Almost nobody is seeing it.

The Good News

The website meets its target audience in plain, benefit-forward language. The Instagram feed carries instructor spotlights in real, personal language. Across all channels, the brand tells one consistent, grounded story. The creative problem is solved.

The Core Challenge

~6,000 website sessions a month. Yet the most recent month of Instagram content gathered fewer than 300 total engagements. The distribution problem is not solved. Roots & Rise has built a genuinely good brand and is, in effect, whispering it.

Estimated Total Revenue at Risk

$38k – $54k

annually. A deliberately conservative figure. It reflects a brand whose creative work is already strong — the leakage is in reach and measurement, not in the message itself.

The Five Gaps

Ranked by revenue impact

1.

Social

The Invisible Feed

High$14,000–$19,000 / year

A warm, well-crafted, community-centered feed reaching almost no one. Posts draw single-digit to low-double-digit engagement against a far larger potential audience.

The Fix: Treat content and cadence as finished — both are strong — and redirect effort entirely to distribution: light paid amplification, deliberate hashtag strategy, and expansion into Stories and Reels.

2.

Strategy

The Analytics Dark Room

High$10,000–$14,000 / year

Analytics and booking tools are installed but not configured into a conversion picture, so paid spend and promotional campaigns run without a feedback loop.

The Fix: Configure existing Google Analytics and Mindbody setup into a real conversion dashboard — mapping ad clicks, email clicks, and organic sessions through to completed registrations.

3.

Messaging

The Missing Master Sentence

Medium$6,000–$9,000 / year

The studio describes itself in several different voices across channels — no single sentence that fuses the physical-transformation promise and the mindfulness depth.

The Fix: Write one master positioning sentence and deploy it as the H1 hero on the homepage, the lead line on every ad, and the bio across all social channels.

4.

Design

Fragmented Registration & Drifting Visuals

Medium$5,000–$7,000 / year

Class registration is split across three separate interfaces — each with its own visual style. The social feed cycles through five distinct visual templates with no shared system.

The Fix: Consolidate registration into one consistent interface and build a simple social template system so every post is immediately recognizable at a glance.

5.

Storytelling

The Roster Without a Referral Engine

Low$3,000–$5,000 / year

A deep, well-presented instructor roster has been built but not turned into a structured member-referral engine. The brand simply is not asking loyal members to refer.

The Fix: Build a simple member-referral program with a clear incentive, easy mechanism, and gentle recurring prompt — attached to the instructor storytelling already being published.

The Through-Line

Five gaps. One pattern.

These five gaps are not five separate problems to solve. They are symptoms of the distance between how good this brand is and how few people experience it. The through-line is not "the brand is broken." It is "the brand is good and quiet, and it needs to be made loud and measurable."

The Story Currently Being Told

"We have built something warm and genuine — a studio, a social feed, and a roster of instructors that all tell one grounded, welcoming story. But we are telling it to almost no one."

The Story That Could Be Told

"Wherever you find us — our website, our Instagram, a friend's recommendation — you will feel the same warm, purposeful welcome, and now you will actually find us, because our story is reaching the people it is meant for."

Recommended Path Forward

Three honest options

★ Recommended · A. Brand-to-Revenue Intensive (Tier 2)

A 60-day engagement that builds a real distribution and engagement engine for the social channels, configures conversion tracking, and unifies the class registration experience.

$15,000–$22,000 (diagnostic fee fully credited)

B. Targeted Single-Discipline Engagement

A focused engagement on the one or two disciplines doing the most damage — most likely Social and Strategy.
